What volunteers do
Sit and talk. Read aloud. Run an errand or pick up a prescription. Veterans visit veterans, which is often the only conversation that lands. Some volunteers never leave the office and keep the paperwork moving instead.

Full training before your first visit, a schedule built around yours, and a coordinator who matches you to families rather than leaving you to guess.
